Live Lobster Policy

Due to variances in weight of consumable products, some items ordered are subject to minor variation in final total weight. Effected items will have such product variation noted on the items in your shopping cart prior to checkout, as well as on the automatic confirmation email. SeafoodByNet.com reserves the right to charge the customer for the actual received weight at the time of shipment.
Selection of sizes on Lobster is as follows:
1 Pound (Chickens): 0.95-1.2 pounds
1.25 Pound (Quarters): 1.20-1.45 pounds
1.5 Pound (Halves): 1.45-1.65 pounds
Selects Sizes:
2 Pounds: 1.75-2.0 Pounds
3 Pounds: 2.5-3.0 Pounds
4 Pounds: 3.0-4.0 Pounds
2% water loss is common on all live product deliveries.

The amount billed on your final invoice will reflect the actual weight of items ordered, as subject to variation. Please note that SeafoodByNet.com makes every effort to meet the exact weight as precisely as possible. SeafoodByNet.com's live Lobster shipments are only available for UPS next day delivery, no exceptions.

Availability & Process Time
Shipment dates on your order are based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time and do not include transit time. SeafoodByNet.com does not begin order processing until SeafoodByNet.com receives all of the information that it needs and full payment or a full authorization, in the case of credit/debit card. SeafoodByNet.com may begin payment processing for orders placed on weekends or holiday on the next business day. SeafoodByNet.com reserves the right to charge prices for the product displayed on-line at any time and particularly to correct pricing error. SeafoodByNet.com is not responsible for typographical errors. SeafoodByNet.com reserves the right to cancel any order you have placed if there was a typographical error on the Site concerning the pricing or availability of any item you have ordered when you placed the order. Your total order price will include the price of the product on the day of shipping plus any applicable sales tax and shipping charges. In the event of a price decrease prior to your order fulfillment, the lower price will be automatically applied to your order. In the rare event that higher price is required for a selected product, you will be contacted for approval before SeafoodByNet.com processes your order. Unless otherwise noted, shipping and handling charges will be shown as additional charges on your invoice.

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
SeafoodByNet.com has no guarantees on the life of the Lobster. Generally the hard shell East Coast Lobsters last 24 to 36 hours out of water. This is an average, not a guarantee. Please know that if a hard shell lobster dies you do have 12 hours in which to prepare and cook, as long as the lobster has been kept refrigerated. Because we are dealing with perishable food items, we cannot be held responsible once the product has left our facilities. If you have any questions or concerns about the lobsters, we will be happy to assist you to the best of our ability. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC DELIVERY TIMES. SEAFOODBYNET.COM CANNOT ASSUME LIABILITY FOR LATE DELIVERIES OR ORDERS NOT RETRIEVED IN A TIMELY MANNER. We do not offer refunds; returns or exchanges once the items have left our store.

Shipping Policy
SeafoodByNet.com offers expedited shipping options on most SeafoodByNet.com's products. As the delivery of your order is beyond SeafoodByNet.com's control once your order leaves SeafoodByNet.com facilities, SeafoodByNet.com cannot assume liability for late deliveries, regardless of the delivery method you specify. At this time International Shipping is not available. Free Shipping applies to our standard deliveries to most addresses in the 48 contiguous states, for orders exceeding $299 dollars. All orders are shipped signature released-No signature required. This means that if no one is there to receive the order from UPS/FedEx, the driver will leave the order at the door. This signifies acceptance of the order. We highly recommend that someone is there within the designated timeframe to accept delivery of the order and promptly refrigerate it. We recommend the use of the UPS/FedEx tracking number (we will e-mail you the tracking number when the order shipped), to monitor the delivery of your order. If this is a gift, please be sure to alert the recipient that something perishable is coming via UPS/FedEx and to try and make arrangements to accept delivery and immediately refrigerate it upon receipt. Please examine the carton when it arrives. If the carton appears to be wet or damaged, it may have caused injury to the lobsters or let warm air enter the carton.
